Great facilities for walkers on the West Highland Way , menu wasn't exactly extensive but good soup and sandwich , great that you could eat your own food inside also
Just can't be beaten for an experience. Very homely and made us feel at home. Great to come back to after hectic day out. Meals were superb and always hot. Very comfortable hotel, would gladly return.
Stayed here for 4 nights last week as part of a Lochs & Glens tour. Lovely cosy hotel with friendly staff. Food was very good always hot and plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner. Our room was quiet, cosy and warm to come back to of an evening. Lovely location on the edge of Loch Lomond with the waterfall next to the hotel. Thank you to all the staff and drivers who safely drove us about each day with loads of interesting knowledge and stories.
We went here with Lochs and Glen's. The hotel is isolated at the very edge of Loch Lomand and the views are stunning. There is a waterfall to the side of the hotel and it is situated on the West Highland way. The staff at the hotel were lovely and very helpful. Our room was at the front of the hotel with views out across the Loch. We had a brilliant stay here and I would recommend a visit. There are facilities at the hotel for Hikers walking the West Highland way, some rooms, coffee and tea.
Absolutely gem of a hotel. We stayed the night at the Tarbet Hotel but wished we had spent the night here! Location is absolutely stunning and all the staff were great. Friendly, chatty, asking if we needed anything.
This is a great hotel with good amenities overlooking Loch Lomond. There is a waterfall at the side of the hotel, and a ferry to the other side of the Loch.
We stopped for sandwiches along the West Highland Way and the meal and service were both fantastic! It was quick and tasty. There’s a special entrance for hikers but they were very accommodating to those walking through looking for a meal!
There was a squall blowing off of the lake, so all of us hikers really, really appreciated having an opportunity to get off of the trail for a bit. They let you eat packed lunches in the hiker lounge, which is very helpful. The view is great from the lounge, btw. There is a water tap for walkers, too. The bar staff was friendly enough, and a Guinness powered me through the last 7 miles. I wish they had food available, but I hadn't counted on it anyway. I probably would have bought a small plate or something if it was an option (that day). The area around the hotel is very scenic, and I wouldn't be opposed to having a room there at some point.
